Finally our gorgeous French Bulldog puppy is ready for his first walk. He’s the only one of the pack to wear a lead, ‘tho I was sure he’d do great. I mean he’s such a good baby boy, it’s not like he’d bury him self in the mud in protest..!
Aaah. Well he might. A bit.
‘Come on, Bilbo’, Rosie pug urges Bilbo on.
And for a while little Bilbo does wonderfully well.
The key was to follow Ferris, our darling Chocolate Labrador.
I think he was enjoying it…
Ferris certainly was.
And Rosie Pug was googly eyed over the Autumn leaves.
But, it was all a little overwhelming for this newest member of the family.
We tried teasing him forward with sticks.
The girls love this game.
Instead of chasing foliage, Bilbo was offered a teenie stick while being cuddled by Charlotte. Well, he only has little legs.
He checked out his lead and at times figured it wasn’t so bad.
To the delight of our maternal Rosie Pug.
But then he’d decide he didn’t like it at all.
‘Can I get up? I’m getting very tired…’
Meanwhile, the others, charge, splash and romp about.
So it was. Little Bilbo wanted to get up, then down, then up again
All watched over by Rosie Pug.
Finally, he was worn out and enjoyed gazing up at the branches.
Happy and relaxed Bilbo crossed his ankles and laid back.
He enjoyed a head rub from Charlotte,
and fell fast asleep.
