Bilbo is our irresistible blue French Bulldog puppy.
The first week in a new home is always a big adventure for a puppy, but being integrated into the family pack of dogs makes it a bit more challenging.
Tho’ this little pup has become the centre of most things in no time at all!
Bilbo hangs around wondering when someone will play.
Poppy the Boston Terrier is a play machine and can’t seem to resist her new little brother.
She is absolutely delighted with her baby Bilbo.
After tumbling around playfully Poppy gets up to leave.
Bilbo can’t bare her to leave and wants her back.
So, she gathers his teething toys.
Never one to miss out on a bit of fun, Poppy has a chew too.
During the week Bilbo had visitors. Chloe, my niece and an animal lover, is loved back by all the dogs and will be a special human in Bilbo’s life.
Getting used to the dark garden was challenging and Bilbo just wanted to get back in the warm with the others.
Boy time with Ferris. Bilbo knows to be calm around this dear old gentle-dog.
Poppy tries to entice him away with a toy.
Meanwhile Rosie pug has squished into Bilbo’s bed and is feeling as snug as a pug.
Bilbo doesn’t mind, he’s wide awake and eager to play.
The only thing to separate this pair is the occasional large step.
‘Could I have a leg up please?!’
Ferris almost always watches the youngsters from the door. He doesn’t like it if the back door is shut with one of them outside.
Bilbo had his first lesson to ‘sit’ on command.
Nearly Bilbo! Poppy shows him how it’s done with a beautifully straight back
and gets the toy as a reward.
Although she is tempted to tease little Bilbo,
in the end, Poppy lets the little chap have it.
Bilbo adores her for it.
Bilbo has even got involved in the girls games of ‘tug-of-war’. A feisty event!
Later, he seems to want to play it again.
But Poppy wants to try another game.
So, for a while they do this.
But Bilbo hasn’t forgotten.
So, Poppy obliges.
Finally worn out Bilbo falls asleep, but Rosie Pug is rather keen on that warm snug bed.
In fact, it’s become a favourite and they clamber over each other to get a space.
Psst, budge up Rosie!
Sensible Ferris makes himself comfy on the dog-snug sofa.
Bilbo watches Poppy have a snooze, waiting patiently for his playmate to wake.
It’s smiles all round, and lots of neck munching.
It’s fair to say Bilbo has fitted in rather well.
