It was freezing the day we ventured out into the countryside to take these photos. Even with the Winter sun trying to make it’s impact, I was relieved to have my cozy and warm camel wrap coat and soft wooly accessories!

It’s easy to ruin this look with too much jewellery or too much camel. So my advice would be to pick a few pieces and mix it with other colours of the same tone.

So, I have a camel coloured wrap coat, wooly hat and a scarf with both camel and grey.

I’ve matched this with a heather coloured cashmere camisole, a thick cream wooly cardigan and grey leather ankle boots. Because the blue jeans and heather cami are rather neutral they worked well with the tone of my camel coat, I think.

I really like letting the camel make the statement (because it’s so classic and chic) but not over doing it.

When considering how to wrap up in camel, consider mixing up the textures. My scarf is a bit hairy (sounds awful, I know) but it’s really rather great – warm and soft. My hat has a thick knitted texture, my coat fine and luxurious. My boots a shiny leather.

That way similar colours look better together.

Consider adding a subtle pop of colour. Mine is this rather neutral heather camisole, but I love the red leather gloves below. I would have probably gone for a white cami if I had those gorgeous gloves.

Personally, I’m not convinced about matching a camel coat with a camel shoe or boot. I think it works better to choose other camel accessories instead.

  1. I love camel and look at the accessories in this post and swoon. You see, I live in South East Queensland, Australia, and our idea of wrapping up is to replace the t-shirt with a long sleeved one and thongs with shoes for those couple of months that is (hopefully) called winter. #teamlovinlife

    1. Oh my gosh! I do love British Winters. You get to completely change how you dress and wrapping up is so cozy. I’ll be over it soon and desperate for your Aussie sunshine!! x

  2. I love these looks. I think it’s a great winter colour but it doesn’t get very cold in my part of Australia so I rarely get the opportunity to wear anything too heavy. I have a beige / camel cotton trenchcoat which I love but only pulled out once last winter and then didn’t even need to wear it! #teamlovinlife

    1. A camel cardi is even off the cards during your winter then! It’s really chilly here – I’ve just come in from doing a few chores in the garden and my hands are typing really slow because they are still a bit numb from the cold! x

    1. I didn’t think I could wear camel either! But there will be a camel for all skin tones. The 3 coats I’ve linked to are darker in colour than mine so may suit you. Don’t give up on camel – it’s such a chic classic! x
