This scrumptious homemade Mango and Passion Fruit Daiquiri is so easy to make. It’s a sweet cocktail, made with mango but it’s well balanced with the sharpness of passion fruit and lime. This rum cocktail is shaken over ice so you get the chance to judder your cocktail shaker! I’m a sucker for trying out rum cocktail recipes and I think you’ll love this one! Serve it in a cold cocktail glass (maybe, straight from the freezer) and try to sip your homemade cocktail with elegant pride/greedy smugness. Either way, it’s your party!
It’s a really vibrant cocktail, sure to brighten up this grey February. It tastes rather exotic and when I close my ears to the stormy weather outside, currently hurling all number of organic things at my windows, I can almost imagine summer.
I had actually placed my glass in the freezer and it looked wonderfully opaque and mysterious with the vibrant mango drink only visible from the top. But by the time I changed my lens and thoughtfully placed the passion fruit halves, the magic had past. Still, the glass was still cold which I appreciated after the shoot.
Brilliantly the passion fruit pips float and are all the decoration you need!
For this Mango and Passion Fruit Daiquiri, you will need
- 60ml white rum
- 45ml lime juice
- 1tbsp maple syrup
- 4 tbsp mango puree
- 1/2 passion fruit
- crushed ice cubes
- Add all the ingredients, except the passion fruit, into a cocktail shaker and shake vigorously until it turns frosted!
- Pour the mango daiquiri out into your cold cocktail glass and carefully squeeze 1/2 a passion fruit into the drink.
- Serve and sup thinking of wonderfully warm and exotic things.
